The city lost nearly $2.8 million dollars to settle this case before embarrassing information was revealed to the court that could have possibly increased the settlement amount. Many other similar stories are being unveiled in light of the Pierce case. This case is very similar to the Jenna six fiasco that is occurring right now. If something happens to a person of color they claim racism immediately and the media portrays the story to the public making it seem more racially motivated then it really is.
